Curing Agent - Chemistries
Polyamide
Reactive polyamides offer improved flexibility, excellent corrosion resistance and color stability. After curing, coatings made with these products can exhibit good bonding properties, mechanical strength and chemical resistance. Offer low toxicity and long pot life.
Amidoamine
Range of amidoamines of differing reactivities. Low viscosity. Exhibit very good adhesion, particularly to concrete.
Good cure under humid conditions. Modified amidoamines can offer faster cure speed and improved chemical resistance.
Phenalkamine
Phenalkamines are based on Cardanol, which is a unique natural phenolic material obtained by distilling Cashew Nut Shell Liquid. The aromatic ring provides a strong chemical resistant backbone while the OH group gives strong adhesion and good reactivity for fast and low temperature cure.
Aromatic Amine
Best-in-class chemical resistance and excellent mechanical properties. Wide range of pot life and viscosities.
Cycloaliphatic Amine
Cycloaliphatic amines offer excellent colour stability, good adhesion and very good chemical resistance. They can cure at low temperatures under damp conditions. Good film properties (e.g., excellent gloss). Resistant to amine blush and water-spotting. Offer a wide range of of cure times and pot lives.
Waterborne Curing Agents
Range of curing agents offering different cure speeds for use with various epoxy resins. Low VOC. Low color.
Nonflammable. Easy to clean and apply. Good adhesion, especially to damp concrete. Good abrasion resistance.
Mannich Base
Mannich bases are highly reactive curing agents. They are good for low temperature cure, in some cases down to below 0°C. We offer Mannich bases to meet the most demanding application requirements for epoxy use in damp and cold conditions.
Polyamine & Aliphatic Amine
Wide range of products with differing properties. High reactivity, fast cure at ambient or low temperatures. Relatively moisture insensitive. Reasonable color and color retention. Good chemical resistance, particularly to solvents.
Anhydride
Anhydrides are elevated temperature cure products which are primarily used in electrical and composite applications. They are known for their long pot-life, excellent electrical insulation and outstanding thermal endurance.
Mercaptan
Polymercaptan curing agents are used in ambient temperature rapid cure applications. These ultra-fast cure speed curing agents are typically used in structural and general-purpose adhesives.
Epoxy Resin - Chemistries
Liquid
Bisphenol-A based Liquid Epoxy resins are used in a very wide range of applications and are the building blocks for various modifications to achieve customer-specific applications.
Novolac
Novolac Epoxy Resins are high-performance resins which have a higher-functionality. Due to their high cross-linked density, these products offer superior heat and chemical resistance.
Solid
Bisphenol-A based solid Epoxy resins have high molecular weight. These products offer superior adhesion and flexibility as compared to liquid resins. Solids resins are popularly used in adhesives, powder coatings, can and coil coatings.
Solution
Solid resins which are blended with solvents give solutions. Solutions can be prepared with a wide range of solvents, xylene being the most popular. Solutions are used in coating applications for their lower viscosity and fast-drying properties.
Reactive Diluents
Diluents are low viscosity resins which are used to modify standard epoxy resins. Diluents are available in various functionalities i.e. Mono, Di and Poly functional.
